What is The Digitalbonus Bayern?
The Digitalbonus Bayern is a funding program of the Free State of Bavaria that helps small companies to implement digital technologies and innovative solutions. With this programme, which runs until 31 December 2027, companies can digitize their products, processes and services and improve their IT security.
Why use the Digitalbonus Bayern?
With the Digitalbonus Bayern, you can be reimbursed up to 50% of your eligible expenditure for digital projects. There are two variants of the digital bonus:
- Digitalbonus Standard: Here you can receive a grant of up to 7,500 euros. This variant is suitable for general digitization measures in your company.
- Digitalbonus Plus: You can receive up to 30,000 euros in funding for particularly innovative projects with a high innovation content. This variant is specifically intended for measures that make outstanding use of new, digital technologies.
Digitalbonus Standard or Plus?
Digitalbonus Standard
The Digitalbonus standard is suitable for measures aimed at optimizing company processes. Typical examples include the introduction or improvement of ERP, CRM, document management and merchandise management systems. Integrated industry solutions such as tradesman software or warehouse and logistics solutions also fall into this category.
A pure license purchase of standardized software solutions as well as platform and portal solutions without special technical or innovative features are also supported with the Digitalbonus Standard. Customer acquisition measures that go beyond standard marketing solutions can also be subsidized by the Digitalbonus Standard.
Digitalbonus Plus
A detailed description of the particular innovative content and degree of novelty of the measure is required for the Digitalbonus Plus. Projects must be characterized by innovative content, for example through the use of artificial intelligence, intelligent data analysis, intelligent robotics or modern simulation methods and digital twins.
Important: If your particularly innovative project has total expenditure of less than 15,000 euros, it is worth applying for the Digitalbonus Standard, as the grant amount remains the same and processing can be faster. For projects that are eligible for the Digitalbonus Plus, prior consultation with the responsible district government is recommended.
What you need for an application
Please have the following information ready:
- Company data (number of employees, annual turnover, balance sheet total) of the applicant company
- De minimis Certificates for the entire group of companies
- Financing plan
- Offer(s) from external service providers

Who can be supported?
