Google is currently testing a more useful overview in the news section for users in Google search results. A new feature in the form of a carousel is being tested, in which users can display various articles on a news item as required.
Twitter user and SEO expert Nicholas McDonough recently discovered the new feature, which he captured in a video. Google seems to be testing out the new feature in mobile search results.
One search term, but several articles and news
The principle is simple: after entering a search term, Google displays various news items on the searched topic. Under each Google News, an article is displayed first.
Clicking on the diagonal arrows in the upper right corner enlarges this same view. Here, users will now see several matching news articles from the various news portals shown.
The benefit of this feature could be a more practical and clearer display of news, which would offer users a way to access different news sources on a topic. However, it remains to be seen whether the feature will become established for all users.
Because it is also known that Google every now and then conducts limited tests of various new features in the search results.
