The domain trust refers to the trustworthiness of a website. This trustworthiness is used to evaluate the website by Google and other search engines. This also determines the position of the website in the SERPs. Criteria that ensure a high domain trust include: high-quality, informative content, no spam, and compliance with Google guidelines and social signals.
Other criteria that can positively influence the trustworthiness of a website are:
- Inbound links
- Outbound links
- User behavior
- Domain registration
For a good domain trust, especially the incoming backlinks should be checked for quality and spam. As a rule, it can also be worthwhile to devalue low-quality backlinks. However, this should only be done after a thorough examination of the link and the referring website. Unfortunately, Google does not provide any tools to determine or even check the domain trust. Currently, only an approximate value can be determined.
