Perhaps some have already heard!
As of June 22, 2022, it will no longer be possible to create extended text ads via Google Ads. Enhanced text ads are optimized ad formats in which you can create ad texts to provide the consumer as much information as possible about the page in order to win him over.
Many are familiar with these ad formats, they describe the page or the respective product to make it clear to the consumer what it is all about.
Responsive Search queries
Google Ads replaces the expanding text ads with responsive search queries and advises to place at least one responsive search ad in all ad groups of the search campaigns until then. More would be better, because this way Google Ads can change them automatically and thus finds out which ones are more likely to encourage customers to buy or click. The buying behavior of customers is thus analyzed and adjusted to the best performing combinations. This allows the campaign performance to be optimized.
Google creates context based on search queries and the words consumers use and learns which are more effective for the business owner.
What to look out for?
Google has also shared a few tips on how we can make the most of this new opportunity. It can be helpful to take effective content from the advanced text ads you’ve had in the past. Looking at ad effectiveness, tells us if we are sending appropriate advertising messages and is therefore very important.
In addition, you can create suggestions at any time under “Recommendations”. Another point is that important content can be pinned, for example, an activity like “laser tag” or a location like “Frankfurt”. In the Display Variation option, search ads can be set for multiple campaigns. When testing new text variations, you can always see if the change is worth it and analyze the results. These regulations apply to all Google Ads platforms, Google Ads Editor, Google Ads App or API. From June 22 next year, you can no longer make any changes here either. Therefore, one should create responsive search queries promptly. The Google Ads Editor and Google Ads API are especially good if you want to create many responsive search queries at once.
