Since February 21, 2023, TikTok users can use a new and automated campaign setup option. Smart Performance Campaigns are a simplified form of campaign setup, but offer users fewer manual control options and targeting options. According to TikTok, Smart Performance Campaigns performed significantly better in the test phase than conventional identical campaigns.
Users who require a more sophisticated campaign setup should avoid Smart Performance Campaigns.
Shopping features in videos – monetization options on Pinterest
The CEO of Pinterest announced in one of the so-called “earning calls” to further expand the monetization potential in videos on the creative platform Pinterest.
In preparation, the video functions of Idea Pin and the video assets in the product catalog were expanded last year. The engagement with short videos is now more around 30%, which is why it seems worthwhile to equip videos with further sales options.

Beta test for Search Keywords Ad
Twitter introduces Search Keywords Ads in beta testing for all advertisers. Using this option, Promoted Tweets can be placed in specific search results. This provides a targeting option based on user intent. Similar targeting options already existed, but could not be aligned exclusively to the search results. Search keywords ads are therefore a pioneer in this area, as they only address users who are actively searching for specific keywords.
